Last night I tossed and turned, stressing about how I was going to get everything the nursing program wants me to have by the deadline they don’t want it on that is mandatory that I don’t miss.  Or get kicked out of school.

In my state of insomnia I sifted through all my school files to find sealed transcripts from two of the colleges I went to and then ordered one each from the other two colleges.  I need this because even though this college has accepted my classes and me as a nursing student, since I haven’t taken any classes there yet, I must get all of my prerequisite courses certified as requisites.  Yes, there is still a chance that I will turn in my transcripts and they will tell me that my out-of-state anatomy, physiology, and English do not satisfy their needs.  If I could’ve stood up and asked, “WTF??” without getting tossed on the spot,  I would have.  Why wasn’t this part of the application process? Never mind.

Then I ordered my criminal background check for $48.50.

Then I played Bejeweled Blitz 2 on Facebook and scored 303,850 points and tried to go to sleep.  I was a little high on the excitement of having one of the highest scores in the history of the game (unverified) and stressed out on the prospect of all the other busy work I still have to do, so it was tough getting some actual sleep.

Today, in between seeing my next client due to have her baby and the one who just did, I got vaccinated for both the seasonal flu and the dreaded overrated H1N1 flu.  If I weren’t going to nursing school and if the clinical sites weren’t mandating it, I wouldn’t have been vaccinated.  It was the first time I’ve ever had flu shots.  I will let you know if I suddenly start walking backwards or slurring my words without so much as a six pack of hefeweizen.  So far, so good.
